OCTOBER 7-9, 2022 JARED AND RACHEL
CALIFORNIA, USA
My greatest experience ever…

This has been the most exciting work experience since I’ve been photographing weddings. We took 6 planes to finally meet Rachel and Jared, we reached them in Quincy, in a fantastic natural setting, which was the location that the couple chose for their big event which lasted 3 days. It was wonderful to discover this part of America, among other things it was my first trip to the United States and it was all super exciting, it all seemed like something out of a movie! The first day we shot the rehersal dinner with friends and relatives, the second day the wedding, with a Jewish rite, another first time for us and on the third day a beautiful couple session in the company of splendid horses, in the Green Horn Ranch, the location chosen for the wedding.

A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
When Rachel asked me to be her wedding photographer and fly so many hours, I hate flying!!!, I was so hesitant and I hoped, in my heart, I didn’t have to go, my anxiety and fear of not making it was taking over. I thought a lot, didn’t sleep whole nights, but then I convinced myself and didn’t want to allow my fragility and fears to live one of the strongest and most exciting experiences I’ve had in my entire life. As soon as we met the bride and groom all the auras and my doubts melted away and I fully lived this experience that I will hardly forget.

ARRANGEMENTS INSPIRED BY NATURE
Rached and Jared live in Santa Monica and wanted to choose a very different and less fashionable setting surrounded by nature for their wedding. Plumas National Forest is a 1,146,000-acre United States national forest located at the northern terminus of the Sierra Nevada in northern California. The wedding was in October, the temperatures were already mild but still able to have an outdoor event. We were surrounded by huge pine trees and horses free to run around in their environment.

WEDDING GOWN
Rachel chose three very beautiful dresses, one very linear and simple for the first day, for the rehearsals of the ceremony and the rehersal dinner, a second more elaborate and important one for the ceremony, both by Pronovias, and finally a third outfit for the party , a more playful outfit with a jacket and trousers that I loved.

THE CEREMONY WITH JEWISH RITE
Another first for us, photographing a Jewish rite. This aspect made me a little anxious as I didn’t know well the times and exactly how the ceremony took place. We had Rachel tell us all the details and timing just before leaving so as not to arrive unprepared on the day of the event.

THE COUPLE PHOTOS
Rachel and Jared had previously decided to dedicate the time for the shots of couples, with more comfortable and less demanding clothes even in the movements and above all that allowed them to get on the horses that were given to us for the occasion. There was also a beautiful mandala that was made by Rachel’s friends, another first for us. This is how we ended last wedding season 2022 with a bang. A truly unforgettable year that made me discover the wonder of travel and discovery and the courage to go beyond one’s limits and fears. After these three days we enjoyed two days in Los Angeles, but that’s another story…
